  • Teachers can decide how much or how little time to give students for coloring their worksheet. Students can always finish coloring at another time.

  • If you intend to allow students to type their final draft and print it out, you may choose to wait and have students color their worksheets after their final drafts have been printed. Digital worksheets are provided as an option in lesson 5.

Look at published non fiction books and notice how the author excites their readers. You can look at books on any subject to see how authors introduce the topic they will be writing about. Keep track of different ways authors get readers excited. There are many ways!
