Expand the Caption worksheet | 1 per student |
This lesson can be used as a way to help students expand existing sentences and write with adjectives, adverbs, and "where it’s happening" phrases.
Using the back of the worksheet or a new page, write 2 to 3 sentences for what might have happened next for each caption. Use your word bank to continue expanding your sentences.
Use the original captions for another round of expanding the caption. This time you and your partner will take turns adding to the sentence. Write your newly expanded sentence on the back of the worksheet or on a new page.
