DISCUSS:
If you could design a fun way to exit a treehouse, what might it look like?
Step
01/15
Get your supplies.
Step
02/15
Get your Treehouse Design Worksheet. Read over what you have
written so far. When you’re done reading, give a silent thumbs-up.
Step
03/15
Write a sentence that mentions your client’s name and that this
design was made just for them.
Step
04/15
Write a sentence that names the two parts you added to your
client’s design.
Step
05/15
Write your final sentence.
Step
06/15
It’s time to check your writing! Make sure each sentence starts with
a capital letter and ends with punctuation. Read through your writing
and make changes if you need to.

Congratulations! Your writing has leveled up!

If you need a natural stopping point:

Teachers: This is a natural stopping point. The next steps will guide students through completing their blueprint and setting up their final draft to share. If you stop here, be sure to put all the VIPs somewhere safe!

If you’re continuing right now, go to the next slide.

Step
07/15
Get your supplies.
Step
08/15
Get your Treehouse Blueprint and your pencil. At the top, write your
name and your client’s name in the blanks.
Step
09/15
Write the names of the two parts you chose for your client in
the boxes.
Step
10/15
Draw each of the parts you chose on the blank treehouse.
Step
11/15
Draw an arrow to each of the parts you drew. You can start your
arrow in the little circle in each box.
Step
12/15
Use your crayon or colored pencil to trace over the parts you drew.
Step
13/15
Find the two dark lines on either side of your drawing. Flip your
worksheet over and fold it until you see the black line. Do the same
thing on the other side.
Step
14/15
Put your pencil and colored pencil or crayon to the side. Stack your
worksheets with the Treehouse Design worksheet on top.
Step
15/15
Place the pile in the middle of your desk. Stand your Treehouse
Blueprint worksheet above it.
