If students need an intro or additional support with understanding the characteristics of the informative genre, we recommend teaching the Intro to Informative Writing lesson first.
Sports: Independent worksheet
Students who are ready to work at an independent level will use facts to write about and then describe a sport to a friend. 		1 per student
Sports: Supported worksheet
Students who could use a little extra support will use sentence stems to write about and then describe a sport to a friend. 		1 per student
