ideas or come up with your own.
Step
01/14
Get your supplies.
Step
02/14
In today’s lesson, you’ll need someone to share ideas with. This could
be a partner or someone you sit near. When everyone knows who
their talk partner is, move on to the next step.
Step
03/14
Look at your story pages. Silently read what you have written so far.
Turn your story pages over and put them to the side when you’re
done.
Step
04/14
Get your Map Your Story worksheet and your Story Plan worksheet.
Put them next to each other. Write where the ending of your story
will happen.
Step
05/14
Think, then write: How did your character get to the place where
your story ends? Write a quick note here in the first box under
where it says "Ending."
Step
06/14
Think, then discuss with a partner: What did your character do with
the marshmallows?
Step
07/14
Write your idea in the second box under where it says "Ending."
Step
08/14
Think, then discuss with a partner: How did your character feel at the
end of your story?
Step
09/14
Write your idea in the next box.
Step
10/14
On the left side, draw a quick sketch that shows one part of what’s
happening in the ending of your story.
Step
11/14
Draw an arrow on the next line of your writing.
Step
12/14
Use your plan and imagine what your character did at the end of
your story. Start writing where you left off on your Story Page
worksheet.

Take turns sharing the ending of your story with your partner.
You can make changes if you want.
Step
14/14
Put your story pages in order. Then turn each page to number the
