Now, look through your writing. Check the end of every sentence to
make sure it ends with a period, question mark, or exclamation mark.
If it doesn’t, you can add one.

Check the start of every sentence to make sure it begins with a
capital letter. Check the names of your characters to make sure
they are capitalized. If any are missing, you can change the letter.

Now, get your writing. Use all the spelling strategies you know to help
you spell your words. You can also use resources in your classroom
to help if you’re not sure how to spell a word.

Now, read your writing to check to make sure it sounds right. You can
read in your head or whisper-read to yourself. If you find a part that

Get your supplies.

Get your first page of your final draft. The title of your constellation
story will be your character’s name. Write it on the line. Write your
name in the author blank.

Draw a picture of your character using the stars in the constellation.
Your teacher will tell you how much drawing time you have. You can
finish drawing later if you need more time.

Get the first page of your writing. Fold the page in half along this line.
Line up the corners on both sides before pressing down. Run your
fingernail along the edge to make a good crease.

Take one corner of the upper flap and fold it back over until the
edges line up making a triangle flap. Make a good crease. Do
the same thing on the other side.

Unfold your paper along the first fold. If the constellation is not
popping up, you can push it back.You can also adjust the two
triangle flaps on the back to support your constellation more if
needed.

Set up your desk for others to read your story. Place the first page
at the top of your desk and your other pages in order underneath it.

you’ll have to walk around and read amazing constellation stories!
