DISCUSS:
Which of these treehouses would you like to visit? Why?
Step
01/11
Get your supplies.
Step
02/11
In today’s lesson, you’ll need someone to share ideas with. This could
be a partner, or someone you sit near. When everyone knows who
their talk partner is, move on to the next step.
Step
03/11
Look at your Choose Your Client worksheet. Read over what you
wrote. When you’re done reading, give a silent thumbs-up.
Step
04/11
Write your name and your client’s name on your worksheet.
Step
05/11
Find the sentence that begins, “I designed a treehouse for.” Finish this
sentence with your client’s name.
Step
06/11
Read about your client again on your Choose Your Client Worksheet.
Discuss with your partner: What are some things your client
wanted?
Step
07/11
Write a sentence about what your client wants.
Step
08/11
Write one last sentence that explains what you did to give your client
what they want.
Step
09/11
To start a new section, move to the next line and use your thumb to
leave a little space. Copy what you wrote about the first treehouse
part you added.
Step
10/11
Copy what you wrote about the second part you chose for your
client’s treehouse. Continue writing where you left off.
Step
11/11
It’s time to check your writing! Make sure each sentence starts with
a capital letter and ends with punctuation. Read through your writing
and make changes if you need to.
