Cut on the dotted lines around the outside of your notes on
Sources 1 and 2.

Cut on the dotted lines between each note. Stack all your notes in a
neat pile.

Cut on the dotted lines on Sources 3 and 4. Stack your quotes in a
neat pile.

Sort your notes and quotes onto the sorting mats. If any don’t go on
either sorting mat, put them to the side.

On Sorting Mat 1, organize the notes and quotes into an order that
you think makes the most sense. You can put notes to the side or

Get Sorting Mat 2. Decide which note helps a reader know what
happens when an asteroid hits the Earth’s atmosphere. Put that
note on top.

sense. You can put notes to the side or write more in.

Get the notes you put to the side. Glue them to the back of one of
your sorting mats in any order.
