DISCUSS:
How could Violet have ended her eye witness report to make it feel more
complete?
Step
01/11
Get your supplies.
Step
02/11
In today’s lesson, you’ll need someone to share ideas with. This could
be a partner or someone you sit near. When everyone knows who
their talk partner is, move on to the next step.
Step
03/11
Get your Eyewitness report and read what you wrote for the
beginning and middle. When you’re done reading, stack your pages
and put them to the side.
Step
04/11
Get your Goodbye, Goats worksheet. Write your name on it.
Step
05/11
Watch the ending of Cairo's report. Finish the sentence by describing
what the goats were doing at the end of Cairo’s report.
Step
06/11
Watch Cairo's report from the beginning to the end. Discuss with
your partner: How did this entire experience make you feel?
Step
07/11
Find the second box. Fill in how you felt about this entire experience
and why.
Step
08/11
Get your Eyewitness Report worksheet. Copy your sentences
from the Goodbye, Goats worksheet into your Eyewitness Report.
Step
09/11
Read through your writing and make changes if you need to.
Step
10/11
Look at the box that says “scene of the incident.” You can color in
the goat, draw yourself, and add whatever else you’d like.
Step
11/11
Share your WHOLE eyewitness report with your partner. Take turns
being the reporter and telling your story to your partner.
