Teachers: This is a natural stopping point. The next steps will guide students through designing and assembling their final story. If students are typing, print student stories before moving on. If you stop here, be sure to put all the VIPs somewhere safe!

Students will need to bring their completed work from the previous lessons to this lesson.
Final drafts can be completed by hand or digitally. A digital worksheet is provided if you would like students to type their stories.
If students require more room to complete their stories, they can use the “Extra Final Draft Page”.
This lesson is separated into two parts and can be taught in two different sessions if needed. A natural stopping point is included before student begin to design and assemble their final story.
With guidance and support from peers and adults, develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, and editing. (Editing for conventions should demonstrate command of Language standards 1–3 up to and including grade 4.)
